001 — How it works

Care, from first
conversation.

A telehealth consultation with Zendra is unhurried and considered. You speak with an AHPRA-registered Australian healthcare practitioner by video. Any plan that follows is built around your circumstances. Here is what to expect, from the first conversation onwards.

Your practitioner stays with your care, with continuity that follows you from one visit to the next.

002 — The process

Four
steps.

The same calm path for everyone, whatever brings you to us. Your consultation is unhurried, and our practitioners stay with your care over time.

01

Tell us about you.

Choose a time that suits you and complete a short intake online. We ask about your history, your day, and what brought you here, so your practitioner can prepare before you meet.

Booking is online and takes a few minutes. You choose a time that fits around your day.

02

Speak with a practitioner.

A live video consultation with an AHPRA-registered Australian healthcare practitioner. There is room to ask questions, share context, and be heard.

Appointments are unhurried and run from wherever you feel settled. Your practitioner listens first, takes your history and circumstances into account, and talks things through at a pace that suits you.

03

A treatment plan, if needed.

If a treatment plan is warranted, your practitioner will share a considered one, shaped around your circumstances. That may mean advice, monitoring, lifestyle support, a referral, or further investigation, where it is clinically appropriate.

Any treatment plan is yours to consider, and outcomes are kept open. If a prescription is part of your treatment plan, you choose the pharmacy that fills it. Sometimes the most useful outcome is a recommendation for in-person care, or no treatment at all. Individual results vary, and a consultation does not guarantee a particular outcome.

04

Ongoing care.

Care continues beyond a single consultation. Follow-up is managed according to your individual treatment plan and clinical needs. Your practitioner will advise when a review is recommended, based on your progress and circumstances.

If you have questions, concerns, changes in your health, or feel you need an earlier review, you can request an appointment with your practitioner. Our practitioners stay with your care, and your notes travel with you, so each conversation builds on the last.

003 — What to expect

Considered, start to finish.

A consultation with Zendra is built to be calm and clear. Here is the shape of it, before, during, and after the call.

A

Time to talk.

Your first consultation is designed to give you time to talk things through at your own pace.

B

From wherever you are.

Consultations are conducted by video, so you can join from anywhere in Australia, whether at home, work, or wherever you feel settled. All you need is a quiet moment and an internet connection.

C

Open outcomes.

Any treatment plan is yours to consider. Your practitioner may suggest lifestyle support, monitoring, a referral, or no treatment, and you are welcome to ask questions before you decide.

D

Continuity that follows.

Our practitioners stay with your care over time. Your notes travel with you, so each conversation builds on the last rather than starting again.

004 — What telehealth can, and cannot, do

Honest about its limits.

Video consultations suit a great deal, but not everything. Knowing where the line sits is part of good care.

What it can do
  • Discuss your history, symptoms, and goals with an AHPRA-registered Australian healthcare practitioner.
  • Review existing concerns and consider lifestyle, monitoring, or referral options.
  • Provide a considered treatment plan, shaped around your circumstances, where one is clinically appropriate.
  • Offer follow-ups and continuity of care between visits.
What it cannot do
  • Replace emergency care. If your situation is urgent, call 000 or attend an emergency department.
  • Suit every concern. Some situations are better assessed and managed in person.
  • Guarantee a particular outcome. Individual results vary, and an assessment may find that no treatment is needed.
  • Always proceed by video. Your practitioner may recommend in-person care, a GP review, or further investigation.

A consultation about what matters to you

A note on suitability

Telehealth is not suitable for everyone, or for every concern.

Some situations are better managed in person, and a video consultation may not be the right starting point. Where that is the case, your practitioner may recommend in-person assessment, urgent care, a GP review, a referral, further investigation, or no treatment, depending on your circumstances. Individual results vary, and a consultation does not guarantee a particular outcome.

No. You can book a consultation directly. If your practitioner feels a referral or in-person review would serve you better, they will let you know during or after the consultation.

A device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable speaking openly. You will receive joining details once your consultation is confirmed.

Not necessarily. The consultation is about understanding your circumstances first. Your practitioner may suggest lifestyle support, monitoring over time, a referral, further investigation, or no treatment, depending on what is clinically appropriate.

Continuity matters to us. Our practitioners stay with your care where possible, and your history is carried from one visit to the next so each conversation builds on the last.

Telehealth suits many concerns, but not all. If your situation is better managed in person, or is urgent, your practitioner will say so and help you find the right next step.
